Handcuffs are a pretty practical and reliable thing! We all certainly know the purpose of this item! And, of course, there is a huge difference between how some scoundrel is shackled in the next detective series and when they handcuff you!

But in order for this to happen, it is not at all necessary to be a bad person committing any illegal acts! All in all, there are too many dangers in the modern world (and it may not even be a law enforcement officer to bind you), and therefore even the most ordinary person will find it useful to know how to remove handcuffs without a key, especially if your life is in real danger! Our article will help to figure this out!

And above all, you should understand the structure of handcuffs and the principle of their work! For these purposes, the best video is for us, in which everything is perfectly shown! However, we immediately note that although the principle of all handcuffs is similar, depending on the model, there may be various design features that complicate their opening and tearing (more on that below)!

As the video above said, it perfectly shows how the handcuffs work, for those who do not have the video working or need clarification, I’ll try to explain in my own words! From the video we see that the instant locking of the handcuffs occurs as a result of the presence of teeth located on the moving part of the handcuffs (on the “bracelets”) and opposite teeth on the locking mechanism. It is these opposite teeth that stop the mechanism, which allows you to move the “bracelets” of the handcuffs only forward! It is very convenient for fast binding a person.

It is also clearly seen that the key to the handcuffs does not have any tricky grooves, but is made very simple. The shape of the key is very standard and has mainly a hole in the middle and one pressure element, which, moving clockwise, presses on the plate with opposite teeth, lowering it, which allows you to open the handcuffs (move the "bracelets" back)! To simulate a key (make a master key), it is best to take a hairpin! If you have a hairpin (or something similar) at hand, you can act in two ways:

1. We bend the hairpin in the form of a club and insert it into the key slot, move it clockwise (you just need to pick up the mechanism and lower the plate with the teeth) and then gently open the “bracelet” (while holding the hairpin while it is pressing on the plate with teeth )

2. There is no need to bend anything, there is a gap in the side of the handcuffs, into which you need to stick a hairpin, which will also help to open the handcuffs! (watch the video)

Another important point is also clearly visible! For more reliable protection, the handcuffs are equipped with a special “peg”, which pushes the bottom plate of the locking mechanism to a position in which opening them without a key becomes much more difficult (and absolutely impossible if you do not know some tricks, as I understand it).

In this position, opening the handcuffs with a key simply by turning it to the right will no longer work, because the “peg” entering the handcuffs blocks the opening mechanism, so that in order to open the handcuffs you will first have to put the peg in place. To do this, just turn the key first to the left to move the plate to its original position and thereby return the “peg” to its original position, and only then turn the key to the right to open the “bracelets”. We also see that when locking with a “peg”, squeezing out this same “peg” with the help of a master key does not work (by pressing on the bottom plate, turning the master key to the left), but you can try to resort to some trick:

3. To return the “peg” to its original position without a key, you need to thoroughly hit the handcuffs from the side to the “peg” area (inflicting a sharp, sensitive blow so that the “peg” literally flies into place. How this method works is shown in the video below:

4. In addition, handcuffs can be broken. Everything seems to be simple here, the main thing is to take a kink, that is, the handcuffs are not on a tight coupling (do not break the tight coupling! Like some especially durable models) you need to bend it in the coupling itself so that there is support for the lever, then twist it with your hands trying to break . You need to act exclusively on a kink! If the model of the handcuffs is suitable and you are not the last hole or girl, everything should work out for you, and the handcuffs can break even faster than if you tried to open them with a hairpin! However, there is a “but” too! This trick will not work if your hands are chained behind your back!

TRAINING:

First of all, before you make any attempts, you need to ensure that your hands are in front of you. Even if you did not do yoga or gymnastics, this stage does not seem too difficult. The second is to find a hack tool. In practice, any means at hand can be used: paper clips, pins, watch buckles and even matches can be used. But it is desirable to find the thinnest and toughest wire, otherwise the lock cannot be captured or the tool simply breaks. After that, you need to measure three to four millimeters from the end and bend the wire at a right angle. A flat plate is best suited, as it will deform less when it comes in contact with the lock, because the force will go along the rib.

The simplest thing is to open the handcuffs without an active lock. You can usually find it on the flat surface of the handcuffs below the lock. If the latch lever is not recessed into the hole, then the latch is not active. On some models, it is completely absent. In both cases, the handcuff closing scheme is as follows: the teeth of the movable part come in contact with the gripper, the dog falls and the handcuffs are closed. When the key is inserted, he raises the dog and the mechanism opens. Therefore, you can manually pry the dog by inserting the wire between the teeth of the handcuffs and the grip.

If the handcuffs have an active lock, then you need to turn it off, otherwise the lock will not rotate. To do this, insert the wire into the lock and, having felt it, turn it counterclockwise. You need to turn it extremely carefully, otherwise the lock can again work. After making sure that the lock is removed, you can go to the lock. Similarly, already clockwise you should slide the lock tab to open the handcuffs themselves.

The method relates to the second type of handcuffs, that is, BRS-2. Their castle has a more complex pattern and is similar in this regard to door locks. Such handcuffs are opened similarly to the previous method, but require a nimble dexterity. To remove them, you need to take two pieces of wire, insert it from different sides of the well and grope the plates inside. The retainer plate moves to the left side, two lock plates to the right. If you are not a professional cracker with an excellent master key, be sure that it will be incredibly difficult to do it yourself and it will take more than one hour of hard work. But we still believe in you, practice.
